The tentative homecoming schedule has been updated on the Alumni Foundation website. It is being republished below. As we firm up plans for each of the class events we’ll update this page and link to the appropriate class specific information.

2012 Schedule

THURSDAY – September 27, 2012

1730:  Alumni Awards Dinner (Melville Hall – Officers’ Club)
Reception at 1730, Dinner at 1830
Price is $75/person – *Note:  No tickets will be mailed for this event. Your name will be on a list at the door. – Nominate Your Classmates!

FRIDAY – September 28, 2012

0730-1530:  Seafarer Restaurant Open 

0800-1700:  Navy Exchange Store Open

0800:  Reunion Class Registration Commences (Barney Square Tent)

0800-1200:  Tours of the Academy from Barney Square

1100: Blue & Gray Homecoming Golf Classic (Engineers Country Club – Roslyn, NY) TBD per person (includes green fee, cart fee, lunch and gift)

1200: Lunch with the Regiment (Delano Hall) $10/person

1400:  Academy Briefing on “State of the Academy” and Q & A (Ackerman Auditorium)

1530:  Formal Parade (Tomb Field – Weather Permitting)

1700:  Jewish Services at Mariners Chapel

1700:  BBQ Dinner in Barney Square Tent (Continues until 1900)

1800:  Acta Non Verba Dinner (Melville Hall-Officers’ Club)
Price is TBD/person – *Note:  No tickets will be mailed for this event.

Friday Night Class Gathering Friday Night activities for the class of 2002 will likely be off campus at a seperate venue for everyone to meet up at. If anyone is willing to spearhead this effort please contact Jim Trynosky

SATURDAY – September 30, 2012

0730-1400:  Seafarer Restaurant Open 

0800:  Colors on Powell Oval

0800:  Class Registration Commences (Barney Square Tent)

0800-1700:  Navy Exchange Store Open

0815:  Homecoming 5K Run Starts – 2002 Alumni 5K Team

Registration is on Tomb Field 0745-0800. Race Starts on Steppingstone Lane adjacent to Lower Roosevelt Field. Race awards completed by 0915. Price is $10/person – *Note:  No tickets will be mailed for this event. Your name will be on a list at registration.

0930:  “Beat Retreat” by the Regimental Band (O’Hara Hall)
Class Fund Raising Chairmen will present class checks during second intermission.

1100:  Tailgating Begins (McNulty Campus) – 2002 Tailgate Party Information TBD

1115: Memorial Arbors Ceremony (North Arbors) The ceremony will not start before this time but may be later depending on the completion of “Beat Retreat;” anyone arriving by 1115 will not miss the ceremony. (Names of those whose plaques were installed since the previous Homecoming will be read by the Alumni Association and Foundation Chairman.) In case inclement weather the ceremony will move to O’Hara Hall at the same time.

1130-1300:  Lunch (Barney Square Tent)
Price is $18/person. *Note:  No tickets will be mailed for this event.

1230:  Alumni-Varsity Soccer Game (Lower Roosevelt Field) 

1300:  Anniversary Reunion Classes Muster for “March-On” (Steamboat Road starting at the Midshipmen Monument)

1330:  Pre-Game “March On” by Anniversary Reunion Classes (Tomb Field)

1400:  Football Game – Kings Point vs. Rochester University (Tomb Field)

1700:  Catholic Mass (Mariners Chapel) Counts for Sunday

1700-2400:  Babysitting Available (O’Hara Hall by Midshipmen)
Price is $25 for first child and $5 for each additional child. Children of all ages
accepted. Pizza and Gatorade provided.

1800:  Varsity Soccer Game vs. Moravian (Tomb Field) 

Reunion Class Parties – 2002 10th Reunion Party – Details TBD

SUNDAY – September 30, 2012

1000:  Roman Catholic Mass (Mariners Chapel)

1000-1230:  Farewell Brunch (Delano Hall)
