Alvarez and Marsal has been honored by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) with the “Turnaround of the Year Award” for the restructuring of global specialty chemicals company, Chemtura Corp. A&M Managing Director Ray Dombrowski ’76 (Haddonfield, NJ) led the firm’s efforts. Ray is also Vice Chairman for Finance on the USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation Board of Directors…..Ray Bartoszek ’86 (Greenwich, CT), a recent New York Yankees limited partner and former Glencore, Ltd. executive, has been appointed to SolutionPoint International’s Advisory Board and Board of Directors. The company is a leading provider of business intelligence, security and compliance to commercial and government sectors…..CDR Christopher Kline, USN ’89 (Kingston, WA) was recently assigned as Commanding Officer of the nuclear ballistic submarine USS Alabama (SSBN-731)…..CDR Dennis Jacko, USN ’94 (San Diego, CA) was recently assigned as Commanding Officer of the USS New Orleans (LPD-18)…..LT Chris Tabert, USN ’02 (Lexington Park, MD) was at the controls of the F-35C test aircraft #CF3 during the first test launch of the carrier variant of the Joint Strike Fighter from the Navy’s new electromagnetic aircraft launch system to replace steam catapults on all future carrier launch systems…..Steven Hill ’86 (Lewisville, TX) has been appointed Vice Chairman of Strategic Investments for KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm. In his new role he will be responsible for overseeing inorganic growth initiatives, new service line development and key alliances. Hill has been named to Consulting magazine’s list of “Top 25 Consultants.”
