Continuing with our profiles of the class of 2002, we visit Mike Gillespie in Bridgewater, NJ.

Mike settled down with his wife Jessica (KP ’05) a little over 5 years ago, in December of 2010, they welcomed their first daughter Charotte Rose to the family, and are expecting a second child this summer.

Mike is a program engineer for AECOM working in the Energy Business Line, directing all the technical work for their program with the New York Power Authority. This typically involves building and plant efficiency upgrades for NYPA’s clients in the South East New York region. Michael’s been in the consulting business for the last ten years, and has picked up a masters degree in Thermal Systems, and his PE license along the way.

In his spare time he’s working with his father to try and solve the worlds energy crisis, with their patent pending “GIPO” process, you can check them out here at Sustainable Waste Power Systems. Mike is also spending a lot of time these days making home improvements for his growing family and trying to soup up his project car a 1987 Fiero.

We’d like to profile the entire class in the months leading up to the reunion, in order to give everyone a chance to see what we’ve all been up to. If your interested please send us an email letting us know what adventures you’ve been on, and where life has taken you over the past decade. or head to the Vessel Registry to provide us your contact information and we’ll reach out to you. Include some pictures or video. We look forward to hearing from all of you!
